Speaker 1:So obviously we're recording this right after SummerSlam Night 2., night 2. We watched Night 1 together and then we're recording Night 2. Clay, not a fan of Night 1, actually Didn't love it. Why didn't you like Night 1? I don't know. I think it was really mid.
Speaker 3:You're really good? I don't think.
Speaker 2:I agree.
Speaker 1:Okay, you agree you agree, luke, it wasn't that good. Oh, so the kids didn't like it.
Speaker 4:What do you think about it? Well, there was nothing like major in it.

Speaker 1:Okay, clay. Well, it's not that. I just think the matches were mid. Yeah, I thought the worst match of the night was Sammy and Karrion. I hate to say it, but there was nothing to it. It was just Sammy winning clean, and if Sammy won with a pop. I would have been okay with it, because Karrion would have been happy. We're going to just rip Karrion. Are we going to say that?
Speaker 2:Yeah. He's dead dead, I would say so.
Speaker 1:I think so. I don't think anybody can do anything about it. I think he's gone see you in TNA yeah, that's okay, just send him there. Yeah, and then Jade just getting brought down, riding the elevator on down in the roster.
Speaker 4:Yeah, cause she's not on Tiffy's level.
Speaker 2:She's a middle card. She's not on Rhea's level.
Speaker 1:She's not on Rhea's level, for sure, for sure. But whatever, that match was mediocre. But anyway, we've been talking about Brock coming back. For months For months and saying that he had to, absolutely felt like he was going to, and then the story came out that he was banned from TKO and I was like, well, now he's definitely coming back, he didn't tell me somebody's banned, yeah, definitely coming back if they're banned.
Speaker 1:Uh, all in all, though, I feel like lackluster pay-per-view as far as things that could happen that didn't happen, regardless of're marking out or not right that all the stuff that could have happened that didn't happen yeah well, where's rock?
Speaker 2:he doesn't exist.
Speaker 1:For the first time ever he's asking for yeah, I guess him getting left out though is. I think it's okay, because he's been left out of everything anyway, so I actually think it's fine.
Speaker 2:So I feel, man, honestly, it's like we had two matches that were build-up storylines.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:And I feel like everything else had no meaning.
Speaker 1:So I will say this you know what I say. There's another podcast. This is for a different podcast, but I always say you know, this could have been in an email. Yeah, this could have been one night. Yeah, we could have just done all this. Okay, drop any match. What match do we drop? Let's move? That match sucked, yeah, all right. All let's that match sucked. Yeah, all right. All the hype that match could be, it wasn't.
Speaker 3:But I still think, I still like the tiffy jade match we could have just done on smackdown.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that's right we could just do that on smackdown and not worry about it.
Speaker 2:All of them were like raw or smackdown level match.
Speaker 1:Most of them were, and that's why I said we could just do eight matches one night, five hours uh, I'd be fine with five hours.
Speaker 2:Hey, there's another show that does that. It's not WWE.
Speaker 1:I know, I know that's what I'm saying. That's why I've been kind of on that, because it smells like that feels better than two nights, Of course. I mean, I guess we all got to hang out for two nights, so I'm not going to bitch about some of it Three nights, actually Three nights, actually three nights. Yeah, smackdown, smackdown and we got it again tomorrow. Well, like I said, I just feel, like you know, something else will happen tomorrow too?
Speaker 2:yeah, I hope so. But like the main events were the beginning, the closing, and being like the closing wrapping up of a storyline, beginning of another one going through overblading gun through overblading. But I just meant shout out showing color, punk finally, like getting a belt, and then you know Seth cashing in.
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:But then Cody finally getting the belt back and then Brock showing up. Those were the only two matches that really like went full circle. Everything else just didn't make sense. Why did like? Like you said, the cage match made no sense, dom match was cool. Where was the judgment day?
Speaker 1:Yeah.
Speaker 2:The TLC match was really cool, great spot. It would have been better. It could have been better. You're right, it would have been better, or not, luke? And on top of that, too, there was so much chaos and it wasn't good. Contained chaos.
Speaker 1:It was like the camera guys even know where to go and also shout out to triple h because, um, I feel sorry for him right now because I feel like he's gonna be cutting and firing a lot of camera guys and a lot of crew, yeah, and photographers put, if we put some, put some respect on people's names. We have to take some respect off some people's names and we've said the cameramen have done good before. But speaking of putting respect on people's names, candice LeRae One. She does one thing and we feel justified for it. She took a bump through a ladder. That was hardcore. That match was awesome actually it was good.
Speaker 2:Like I said, the ending was weird. The ending was weird. I just like I said, I felt like it was. Maybe it wasn't too much, but the camera guys kind of just yeah, like half the spots, or like they were trying to zoom in, and there was a photographer in front of the damn camera while they're trying to zoom in on somebody well, like literally, netflix will have it next time becky and lyra match.
Speaker 2:They were trying to do a spot. Lyra literally threw Becky into a photographer because he would not move out of the way.
Speaker 1:Honestly, there's a few matches I could get rid of. I would definitely get rid of the.

Speaker 1:Becky-Lyra was bad Steel Cage. Steel Cage and Becky-Lyra they're both tonight.
Speaker 3:Which kind of sucks, I think they expected it to Still Cage and Becky Lyra.

Speaker 2:Well, yeah, I mean, obviously it was not good it kind of went off the rails when she was supposed to be zip cuffed. And then she threw one of her hands out of the zip cuff and then immediately put it back in. No one saw it. The camera was right on her hands and one was like whoop.
Speaker 1:I want to point something out that's weird and is a little bit lazy. Two handcuff spots tonight is a little bit lazy.

Speaker 2:Can we just talk about how awesome the helmet was, because I feel like it was pretty cool with the cameraman around it. Oh my God, I know.

Speaker 1:But you know who's entrance gear was better, who's AJ's gear was better. Aj's gear rocked.
Speaker 4:So much better than anyone's.
Speaker 2:Hey though, Mysterio coming out of that mask more and more.
Speaker 1:Yeah, his uncle's mask.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it's his uncle's mask. Well, actually it's his great uncle's mask? Yeah, something like that. Yeah, because it's Ray Mysterio's mask. Yeah, it's Ray Jr's uncle, Ray Mysterio, yeah.

Speaker 2:But he's coming out in that mask more and more, and when he finished the match, he put the mask back on this time.
Speaker 1:He did. That match was uneventful.
Speaker 2:It was.
Speaker 1:Ultimately to what it could have been that match was uneventful.
Speaker 2:The most shocking thing was seeing that he had skeleton socks on to match.
Speaker 1:Yeah, that was insane, took his own boot off. Uh, I do think the cody the cody cena match really was like the best match of the of the two nights hey, that might be the best match scene was put on in the last five years. This part of his career, for sure.
Speaker 2:He took some bumps.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it was awesome. He did a sunset flip Is that what that's called?
Speaker 3:No.
Speaker 1:I want a Mexican Destroyer right.
Speaker 2:He did a Mexican Destroyer.

Speaker 1:Destroyer is them landing on their head and Cody did a sunset flip. The Mexican destroyer is like. The Mexican destroyer is them landing on their head and Cody did a pile driver Cody did a pile driver Pop rocks. Pop rocks is a sunset flip.
Speaker 2:Cody did a pile driver.
Speaker 1:As soon as Cody pile driver, we were all like, oh, he's going to be a hell. Can I just say one thing though? After seeing the pile driver, I would like to apologize to Heavy D and say, yes, kevin was right. Kevin was right. I know that's what I'm saying. That's what it feels like the whole time. Yeah, kevin is right all the time.
Speaker 2:Which he was like Cody's been to all his class. He knows how to act. He knows how to show emotion. He knows how to act, he knows how to show emotion. So they were zooming in on his face a lot during the match to show like little heelish things, like making him look like he was trying to fight it.

Speaker 2:We couldn't figure out why he was wearing glasses.
Speaker 1:Then we couldn't figure out why he was handing the glasses to the announcer after he fell through Bright-eyed, like handing it out.
Speaker 2:Yeah, because it was streaming bro.

Speaker 2:So and he'd done the match Beginning of, during the Logan Paul match, there was all kinds of signs being held up that were given out that said you are an outsider jelly rolls an outsider. But outsiders or outsider was written or printed in the actual like font of nwo the outsiders it was then seth did that with his crew, the crew no seth did that with his crew.
Speaker 2:The crew no Seth did that with his leg, did the Nash thing and then after that during the post show his crew went, came out to the announcers during the post show and actually acted like nwo, like wrote, like messed up their hair and messed up their jackets, took all their notes and threw them everywhere, never spoke to him and then, like, waved to the crowd and walked off. So I was like those kind of little Easter eggs. They know what they're doing in that little universe.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and it feels like they're giving us those more and more. It feels like they're giving us those more and more and seeing if we can catch that and see if we can figure out what's going on the whole time. But I think like, no matter what, pay attention to those details feels like it pays off at this point. But also I guess we paid too much attention to them, because this is other stuff where I'm like.
Speaker 1:Oh my God, that's gotta be, and actually it's nothing, which is like 95% of the time it's actually we all thought we all thought Mr Ray Jr Was coming back.
Speaker 2:But we kind of had a good reason because the original SummerSlam poster from months ago that we talked about me and Dusty saw it and he was like man, it kind of gave it away because at that point Roman hadn't came back yet and on the poster was Roman and on the poster also was Ray.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I really thought Ray was going to be here.
Speaker 2:So that was not like one of those marking out guests and it was like it was on the poster.
Speaker 1:Mysterio was on the poster, yeah, and I really really thought Ray was going to be there. Noticed what did you notice.
Speaker 4:When I walked in there I looked at the post show and it said nine tables broken in the TLC match.
Speaker 1:Just not, yeah, yeah, just not I can see that the two Slim Jims that were set up on one side.
Speaker 2:And then the four.
Speaker 4:Three, three of them broke, oh three of them broke.
Speaker 2:Three of those four broke. That was pretty cool.
Speaker 1:I love that match. I don't care about the Slim Jim tables that are pre-set up, the ones that have the holes. There has to be more than 9 tables. There were 2, they were stacked on. There was 4 table spots, yeah, but the first spot was stacked tables Because they had knobs in them where the other tables went into.

Speaker 1:In the Slim Jim tables. One of those spots was double tables. The DIY went through 2 tables, went through double tables. Tables went into. Oh yeah, in the slim gym tables there was one of those spots was double table.
Speaker 4:The diy went through two tables, went through a double tables but the first like whatever spots, lots of tables when they was like doing flips onto the tables oh yeah that's the four.
