We’re recording live from Kentucky Championship Wrestling Shockwave in Whitesburg, Kentucky, and you can feel the room shifting in real time as Sean Cruz’s 364-day run comes to a sudden stop and Landon Hale walks out with the KCW heavyweight championship.

And so I'm up in the North Carolina. They wrestle in Connecticut? Yeah, they wrestle in Connecticut, brother. Jim Yankees up there. Yeah, but no, they're great people. I'm actually going up there uh later on this month for Bloodsweat Tears. It's a great show. Definitely check it out. Um yeah, I held a tell I had a title for them. I held title in the Carolinas, and then it's just like it's a cool culminating moment because again, you know, never in my lifetime would I think that I would be a professional wrestler. And I get to do it and represent Eastern Kentucky with this beautiful hardware, this heavyweight championship. And I I know my dad's looking down at me. Like he passed away when I was seven. Hell yeah. He was me and him, we actually uh we actually bonded over wrestling. And that's and you know, that's one of the big memories I shared with him. You're good. Yeah, back in 2018, um his favorite wrestler is Kevin Ash. Mine's Ray Mysterio. We we met at a um or I saw them at a Lexington Comic-Con convention. Awesome. Awesome. And then like months later, and and I believe me, and I wish he was behind me right now, Adam Newsom. I actually messaged him because I was like, you know what? I have one life to live. Let's see where this takes me. I messaged him. I said, Hey, how do I get into wrestling? He helped me get my weight into wrestling. So it's a cool moment that not only is he and Colby the first tag team champions of KCW, but I'm also now the second KCW heavyweight champion. So Eastern Kentucky boys holding it down. It's a full, and now I'm saying it out loud, it gives me chills because it's a cool full circle moment.
